a couple days ago a received an email from a girl who was a freshman at my high school when I was a senior. I met her during her first week and ended up taking her out to sushi a couple days later to show her some of the stuff available to do in the city around our school. 

she’s now a day away from starting her senior year and wanted to tell me that my taking her out after school four years ago shaped her high school career and opened her eyes to the kind of person she wanted to be. now she’s going to take a freshman out to lunch this week to continue the chain.
